Our client is looking for a Business Analyst for data interoperability project(s). MDH is currently responding to the COVID pandemic in Minnesota and is being asked to provide more health-related data, reporting, and data exchanges to state and federal agencies. The Business Analyst resource will perform analysis, report definition, requirements documentation, and data validation on data interoperability projects related to data exchanges between, to, and from the multiple systems currently in place at MDH.Data is a core component of public health. Public health uses data from a broad range of sources to improve our preparation for, and response to, public health challenges and emergencies. For example, data are used to conduct disease outbreak investigations, to assess the health of populations, to refer individuals for public health services, and to conduct other essential public health services. Examples include: Communicable disease reporting, Immunization registration and forecasts for needed immunizations.MDH is working to improve reporting for external stakeholders and better coordinate information. MDH leadership is developing a strategic plan and roadmap to guide implementation of a more coordinated and strategic approach to data exchange and data interoperability. This work is important to both MDH external partners and to MDH to improve data timeliness and quality, and to provide more efficient and effective ways of using data and reporting within all levels of government and public health related organizations.
