Description:

This position is responsible for understanding the university-wide impact of facilitating policies and procedures, recommending action plans and collaboration with the senior leadership. Responsibilities also include developing and executing processes to ensure compliance and providing regular updates to IT leadership team and campus governance groups.

Tasks

Policy and Procedure Compliance

• Review and interpret information security and information technology policies and procedures.
• Draft, modify, and facilitate implementation of ICIT information security policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with UWSA established policies and procedures.
• Develop and manage process for ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials, and communication materials to ensure compliance requirements and to prevent violations.
• Assist CIO and CISO with all internal and external IT audits.
• Prepare reports for presentation to campus leadership.

Governance Relations

• Collaborate with campus governance groups to modify, implement, and enforce established information security and information technology policies and procedures.
• Develop materials and presentations for ICIT governance meetings.
• Coordinate rollout of new or updated IT policies and procedures.

• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical staff members of the academic community
